    A brief history of the original Marshall Plan might offer some clues.

    The ostensible purpose was to help rebuild Europe after World War II. In practice, though, it served as a key tool in the transformation of Western Europe into a statist region dominated by Big Government and supranational institutions,
    eventually culminating in the subjugation of Europeans under the unaccountable EU super-state. That was the goal all along.
